Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead capital programs for capacity growth and efficiency improvements.

You will collaborate with internal and external suppliers to advance manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness, while guiding design reviews and ensuring project success across the plant. The role requires strong project management, leadership, and mentoring capabilities, with extensive familiarity with manufacturing processes, robotics, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Degree or related experience required.
• Knowledge of capacity planning and management practices.
• Experience leading capital investment projects.
• Experience with robotics and automation is a plus.
• Ability to coach manufacturing engineers and operators.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of new capital programs for capacity growth and capability improvement.
• Provide technical guidance in major manufacturing projects with suppliers.
• Evaluate major systems and coordinate with the total plant.
• Direct suppliers to analyze designs for feasibility and improvement.
• Mentor and develop manufacturing engineers and operators to ensure quality.
