Job summary

embecta is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer in Holdrege, NE to lead multi‑phase engineering projects from concept through production. You will design, validate, install and startup equipment, while focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements.

Collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality and Maintenance is essential. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or 3+ years in manufacturing, strong PM skills, and proficiency with MS Office; CAD experience and SAP are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field OR 3+ years in a manufacturing setting.
Mechanical or manufacturing system design experience.
Equipment specification, testing, and validation experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes.
Strong project management abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering projects from concept through production, including design, build, testing, validation, installation, startup and handoff.
Design and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, technologies and processes.
Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources and risks; develop cost estimates and capital requests.
Coordinate with vendors and cross‑functional teams for equipment design reviews, FAT/SAT, installation and startup.
Lead equipment validation activities and maintain technical documentation for compliance.
