Job summary

Onward Search is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to support our engineering and maintenance teams onsite. The role focuses on leading infrastructure and production projects with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering background, at least two years in manufacturing, and hands-on experience with automated equipment (PLCs, servos, VFDs). CAD proficiency and knowledge of GMP/HACCP or Six Sigma are a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on with automated processing equipment (PLCs, Servos, VFDs).
• Experience managing capital projects using standard PM practices.
• CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or AutoCAD); GMPs/HACCP/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility and manufacturing projects from planning through implementation, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Develop procedures to enhance safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Lead process/equipment development, preventive maintenance, and safety protocol efforts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and trends.
