Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks an experienced Production Control & Materials Supervisor to oversee daily scheduling, material coordination, and inventory control at a new Georgia facility. This hands-on role ensures materials align with schedules, maintains inventory accuracy, and collaborates with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to minimize disruptions and support on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 3–5 years in production control, material planning, inventory management, or manufacturing operations.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, MRP, inventory control, and workflows.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP systems experience; SAP and MES preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, production reporting, and inventory tracking.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across departments.
• Experience supporting new manufacturing operations or process improvements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Monitor output and adjust plans with production teams to stay on track.
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve scheduling conflicts and minimize downtime.
• Track performance and provide updates to management.
• Monitor and control raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production to address shortages and discrepancies.
• Oversee inventory transactions, movements, and cycle counts.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data accuracy and generate production reports.
• Provide supervision and direction to production control and materials staff.
• Support safe practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
