Job summary

General Motors in Bowling Green, KY is seeking Industrial Engineer interns to perform hands-on work that could impact our manufacturing culture and bottom line. You will analyze the efficiency of operations and proposed changes to personnel, material, machines and facilities.

You will demonstrate leadership, critical thinking and communication skills, making decisions with mentorship from supervisors, while working onsite in a plant environment. Start dates include May 24 and June 14, 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Graduating between August 2027 and June 2029.
• Willing to work full-time, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the efficiency of manufacturing operations and changes related to personnel, material, machines and facilities.
• Assist in developing accurate methods and optimal operation layouts.
• Communicate findings and participate in routine labor and material control studies.
