Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Process Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to drive DMAIC-based QCD improvements across the site. You will lead data-driven projects, conduct time studies, and develop standard work to reduce waste and variation in manufacturing processes.

Collaborating with operations, quality, design engineering, and logistics, you will deploy lean tools and kaizen events to deliver measurable gains in quality, cost, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3+ years in manufacturing
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ year in manufacturing
• Master degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• JR/PhD
• In lieu of a degree, 6+ years’ machining/engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Lead data driven improvement initiatives using DMAIC, lean, and problem-solving techniques
• Identify systemic issues and deploy sustainable solutions across Indianapolis facilities
• Collaborate with operations, quality, design engineering, logistics, and leadership to drive continuous improvement
• Develop and deploy standard work, process controls, and waste reduction strategies
• Support development and maintenance of Technical Packages for process control and product integrity
