Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer - Development to drive mill-turn process/method development for Turbines/Rotatives on Hermle platforms. You will define fixture/tooling, cut strategies, and NX CAD/CAM workflows, collaborating across teams to improve methods and leverage data from CMM results.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering.
  • PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering.
  • In lieu of a degree 6+ years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • HSE - Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet Zero Harm expectations.
  • Product Safety - Ensure processes meet design specifications and investigate safety issues.
  • Quality - Drive zero defects, reduce risk and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Technical Authority - Apply manufacturing process controls; signatory where applicable.
  • Requirements - Identify opportunities for improved processes and digital systems.
  • Planning - Manage schedule, resources and costs; communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Develop Capability - Create and improve processes and digital systems to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery needs.
  • Capture, analyze and use data to demonstrate current and future capability.
