Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions seeks a hands-on Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive Lean initiatives across our Illinois manufacturing operation.

You will lead process improvements, Kaizen events, time studies, and KPI tracking, partnering with production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to deliver safety, quality and cost improvements.

A strong background in Six Sigma, DMAIC, and structured problem solving, plus excellent communication, will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience.
• Structured problem solving: A3, 8D, DMAIC.
• Willingness to travel up to 35%.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
• Implement visual management to expose abnormalities.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping sessions.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for operations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
• Conduct time studies and capacity assessments.
• Support standardized work and best practices.
• Lead problem solving with A3, 8D, DMAIC.
• Identify and drive cost reduction while maintaining quality.
• Train staff on Lean principles and tools.
• Assist with new equipment installations and validations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Prepare progress reports and savings presentations.
