Job summary

Trust Automation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement product realization processes from prototype through volume manufacturing. The role focuses on increasing product quality, safety, and reducing labor and costs while meeting On Time Delivery objectives.

You will work with Engineering, MFGE Technicians, and Suppliers to develop tooling, layouts, and production plans, enabling smooth transitions from prototype to released manufacturing and driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2–5 years of related experience, or 5–9 years overall experience.
• Experience reading mechanical/electrical drawings/schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate or facilitate development of product-specific assembly and test tooling with engineering teams.
• Develop workcell layouts and tooling requirements using Lean Six Sigma and 5S+1 principles.
• Create value stream maps for build and test processes and iterate with volume changes.
• Collaborate with engineering on DFM/DFA input in product design cycles.
• Support procurement, inventory management and capacity planning through ERP BOM reviews.
• Lead or participate in rapid response teams for line-down events.
• Mentor manufacturing team members on assembly and test techniques.
