Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for highly engineered mechanical products. The role focuses on driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives and ensuring quality and efficiency across operations.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, collaborate with project management, and drive improvements from concept through production, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree would be a plus.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering management in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and development of manufacturing processes for efficient production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to optimize processes and reduce waste.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Drive product development from conception to production, ensuring quality and customer requirements.
• Liaise with project management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Use SolidWorks or equivalent software for design and engineering tasks.
• Develop and implement robust quality control systems to ensure product integrity and compliance.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Manage operations and ensure health and safety compliance and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.
