Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, CI, and SPC is desirable.
• Experience with process documentation and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish process flow and operations to make a part for new quotes.
• Work in a cross-function team to complete PFMEA.
• Establish specifications for new equipment and get quotes.
• Roll out of equipment and processes to plant floor.
• Establish Standardized work, Job Element Sheets, and other documentation.
• Main contact for planning/coordinating manufacturing projects.
• Investigate and research continuous improvement and development projects.
• Lead cross-functional updates to plant layout drawings.
• Facilitate developing in-process prints and production tools.
• Provide technical assistance to sales and customers to influence design and cost proposals.
• Keep management informed of significant issues during engineering activities.
• Benchmark processes and parts at sister plants and suppliers.
• Support CIP and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work safely and adhere to company policies and MIOSHA/ISO requirements.
