Job summary
Sargent & Greenleaf (S&G) in Nicholasville, Kentucky, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and efficiency. The role collaborates with Operations, Quality, Production, and R&D to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate analyzes workflows, designs efficient layouts, and applies lean methodologies to improve productivity and product quality on the shop
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience troubleshooting and solving complex manufacturing issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, implement, and document processes, tooling, equipment, and work instructions.
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Analyze workflows and design layouts for efficiency and safety.
- Plan and manage product transfers from development to production (NPI).
- Troubleshoot assembly and production line issues to improve uptime and quality.
- Lead Lean initiatives: 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work.
- Support ISO 9001 quality management and document procedures.
