Job summary

Gore in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our manufacturing engineering team. You will sustain and improve production processes, equipment, and product quality on the shop floor, driving Lean, GMP, and Six Sigma initiatives.

You will lead projects from concept to implementation, develop timelines, validate processes, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Maintenance to deliver reliable, scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing).
• Minimum of 2 years experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and application of engineering fundamentals and statistical tools for process development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to identify critical issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply risk-based decision making.
• Technical communication skills, including documenting and presenting technical work.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering results against timelines and commitments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including influencing across functions.
• Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Sustain existing manufacturing lines, including maintaining fixtures, equipment, and SOPs with a strong presence on the shop floor.
• Improve efficiency, reduce cost, and minimize manufacturing loss using Lean, GMP, and Six Sigma to eliminate waste.
• Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation with WBS and timelines.
• Design, build, and input on fixtures, equipment, and tools to improve safety, ergonomics, quality, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues by analyzing data and identifying root causes.
• Conduct equipment and process validations, qualifications, and verifications for production and regulatory requirements.
• Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team environment.
