Qualifications

  • Proven track record with continuous improvement.
  • Strong application of engineering fundamentals and statistical tools for process development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering results against timelines and commitments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including influencing across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify critical issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply risk-based decision making.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including documenting and presenting technical work.
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to ~5%.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain existing manufacturing lines, including maintaining manufacturing fixtures, equipment, and standard operating procedures, with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor
  • Process Engineers are expected to take ownership of manufacturing performance, which may occasionally require flexibility outside of standard working hours to support a 7-day operation
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet performance targets by improving efficiency, reducing cost, and minimizing manufacturing loss by applying Lean manufacturing principles, GMP, and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and variation
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, tracking progress, communicating status to stakeholders, and resolving obstacles
  • Design, build, and/or provide technical input on fixtures, equipment, and tools to improve safety, ergonomics, quality, and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and implementing effective, timely solutions
  • Conduct equipment and process validations, qualifications, and verifications in support of production and regulatory requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to drive solutions and sustain performance
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team environment

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our engineering team supporting commercial manufacturing. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment to sustain and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality. Process Engineers play a critical role in ensuring stable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations. This includes hands-on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and leading technical projects that deliver measurable business impact.

This position will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing manufacturing equipment
