Winpak Lane Inc. in Rialto, California seeks a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement in packaging machinery production. You will partner with Operations to enhance quality, reduce waste, and boost productivity while upholding safety and cost objectives.

The role focuses on developing methods, standard work, and investigation-driven problem solving using tools like 5-Why and Fishbone, plus data analysis to optimize cycle times and labor utilization across manufacturing.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in process/manufacturing/industrial/quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• On-call support during start-ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate machining, fabrication, mechanical assembly, and testing processes to identify improvements.
• Use statistical methods and data to analyze process performance, reduce variability, and improve consistency.
• Develop manufacturing methods, routings, operation sequences, tooling, inspection points, and cycle times.
• Create and maintain standard work, work instructions, setup documentation, and manufacturing records.
• Support design reviews and manufacturability assessments; evaluate designs for efficiency.
• Conduct process validations, first-article builds, capability studies, and manufacturing trials.
• Lead root cause investigations using 5-Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.
• Maintain process information in manufacturing systems and ISO 9001 or safety compliance.
• Lead or support projects to improve productivity, quality, cost, and process capability.
• Analyze cycle times, bottlenecks, scrap, rework, capacity, and labor utilization to implement improvements.
• Improve facility layouts, material flow, workstation organization, and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new processes and equipment modifications.
• Develop labor standards and cost analyses; evaluate ROI and capital project justification.
