This hands-on role will design and maintain kanban systems, apply lean methods, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to reduce cycle time, waste, and downtime on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles: kanban, kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping.
• Track record of driving measurable efficiency improvements on production lines.
• Ability to translate floor-level needs into engineering solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Experience with process design, implementation, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Complete engineering tasks and requests assigned by the production team, prioritizing work that keeps the line moving.
• Identify, design, and implement assembly line efficiency improvements - reducing cycle time, cutting waste, and removing bottlenecks.
• Design, build, and maintain kanban systems that keep material replenishment tied to actual consumption on the line.
• Partner with production, quality, and supply chain to troubleshoot issues as they come up and get fixes into place quickly.
• Document process changes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures so improvements stick.
• Track the impact of changes with real data and report out on efficiency gains.
• Support tooling, fixtures, and layout changes needed to improve flow and ergonomics.
