Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Process and Packaging Engineer in Vernon, CA to lead manufacturing process development and packaging optimization in a permanent, on-site role.

You will drive LEAN initiatives, Kaizen, and Six Sigma projects, manage budgets, mentor engineers, and ensure safety and quality across production lines.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing, with leadership and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field; MS advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing role.
• Experience with Black Belt, Kaizen, 6S, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and LEAN.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering operations within manufacturing, ensuring projects meet time, budget and quality targets.
• Implement and manage LEAN manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and 6S methodologies; identify opportunities for process enhancements.
• Utilize Black Belt skills to solve complex problems and improve processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting collaboration and excellence.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure seamless production and compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
