Job summary

Carel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and continuously improve assembly and HVAC-related manufacturing processes and equipment. The role works cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production to boost safety, quality, productivity, capacity, delivery, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and engineering software.
• Experience with electrical/electronic products, HVAC equipment, or similar industrial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for assembly and production operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, root cause analysis, and line balancing to improve capability and reduce scrap.
• Develop and improve production lines, work cells, tooling, fixtures, and work methods.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, tooling, and product issues; implement practical solutions.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and production transfers; validate processes and documentation.
• Lead projects coordinating internal resources and suppliers through startup and localization.
• Monitor KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, productivity, OEE, downtime); drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and production standards.
• Support ERP, MES, BOMs, routings, and other manufacturing data accuracy.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation to improve cost and capacity.
