Job summary

System One is seeking a Process Engineer in Manheim, PA to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for assembly and HVAC products. The role emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction through Lean and PDCA methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field; equivalent combination considered.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/process engineering in high-mix, discrete environment.
• Experience developing, improving, troubleshooting manufacturing/assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for assembly, HVAC-related products, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, capacity, delivery, and cost.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, RCA, time studies, line balancing, and other structured problem solving methods.
• Develop and improve production lines, work cells, material flow, tooling, fixtures, and work methods to support efficient, ergonomic operations.
• Troubleshoot processes, equipment, tooling, and product issues; identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and transfers, including process development and validation.
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects, coordinate internal/external resources and suppliers through startup.
• Monitor KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, OEE, scrap, downtime) and drive corrective actions via PDCA.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering to sustain improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and ensure ERP/MES data accuracy.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies to improve quality, productivity, or cost.
