Job summary

Medtronic in Dexter, Michigan, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and improve production fixtures, equipment, and processes on our on-site manufacturing team. You will lead process improvements, train operators, and work with suppliers across functions to implement validated solutions.

The role emphasizes DOE, SPC, hypothesis testing, and lean methods, with strong collaboration across Quality, Regulatory, R&D and Operations to sustain production and support capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years relevant experience or Master's degree with 0+ years.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validation and process/equipment validation.

Responsibilities

• Identify process improvement opportunities, including new fixturing and inspection solutions.
• Develop shop floor work instructions and train operators.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop processes and equipment specifications.
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation and validate new fixtures on production lines.
• Manage project timelines and communicate changes to stakeholders.
