Job summary

Mason is seeking an Engineer II–Manufacturing, Components Assembly to perform mechanical and electromechanical engineering tasks with significant independence. The role supports Lean manufacturing, tooling design, and the transition of new products to production.

You will collaborate with design, quality engineering, and production teams, develop process instructions, establish time standards, and pursue continuous improvement to reduce waste and cycle times while meeting project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience automating processes and implementing lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to work with design, quality engineering, and production teams.
  • Experience with electronic assembly and troubleshooting is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause and corrective action on parts and processes.
  • Evaluate new and existing processes for quality and safety.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts.
  • Establish time standards and identify equipment and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with development engineering to transition new products to production.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop and reduce waste.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle time and costs.
