Job summary

Medtronic in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Medical Devices Operations. You will perform detailed process analyses, evaluate equipment and tooling, and drive improvements to meet quality and production goals in an onsite setting.

Collaborating with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality and other teams, you will lead projects, support development and validation of new equipment, and help drive data-driven improvements to equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 0+ years experience.
• Experience in automated and manual machine design, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Creo.
• Knowledge of GD&T and problem-solving tools: MINITAB, SIX SIGMA, DOE, GR&R, CAPA, DMAIC.

Responsibilities

• Review production defects and disposition with manufacturing, maintenance and quality to determine corrective actions.
• Provide daily production support for metal forming, grinding, and electropolishing processes and equipment.
• Review equipment and processes for improvements using OEE and data analysis; manage change projects.
• Lead engineering studies and DOE to enhance existing manufacturing processes.
• Review tooling design and improve tooling performance using Creo/SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Create/update product specifications, BOMs, and ERP documentation.
