Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Medical Devices Operations to execute detailed process analyses and drive improvements across manufacturing, tooling, and quality systems. You will support metal forming, grinding, and electropolishing processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and quality goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s with limited experience, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience or master's with 0 years.
• Experience with automated and manual machine design and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GD&T and problem-solving tools such as MINITAB, SIX SIGMA, DOE, GR&R, CAPA, DMAIC.
• Experience in validation (IQ/OQ/M QA) in a medical device environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review production defects with manufacturing, maintenance, quality to determine corrective actions.
• Provide daily production support for metal forming, grinding, and electropolishing processes.
• Lead improvement projects and DOE studies related to existing manufacturing processes.
• Design tooling improvements using Creo, SolidWorks, and AutoCad.
• Collaborate with toolmakers to define tooling failure measurements for data-driven improvements.
• Create and update product specifications and ERP support.
• Develop and validate new processes and equipment implementations.
• Maintain cross-department communication with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Planning, Metrology.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and document minutes.
