Job summary

Lennox International seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to plan, design, and improve manufacturing processes in an industrial plant environment. You will support machining, welding, plastics, assembly, and plant layout while driving safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements.

Responsibilities include process design, data analysis, and collaboration with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to sustain changes and implement new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of related manufacturing engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Experience with analytical and CAD software.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing theory and design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, production aids, and assembly fixtures in support of plant operations.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling.
• Support production floor and assembly teams on matters related to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties, and product or process specifications.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and other technical support personnel to resolve manufacturing issues and sustain process improvements.
• Support plant layout projects, including material presentation, line balancing, staffing balance, equipment movement, and workflow optimization.
• Provide manufacturing engineering support for new machinery, machinery refurbishment, equipment replacement, upgrades, and process capability improvements.
• Support new product introduction activities by evaluating manufacturing feasibility, process requirements, routings, assembly methods, fixtures, and production readiness.
• Recommend changes to manufacturing methods, tools, layout, and equipment to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.
• Coordinate with other technical support personnel to implement manufacturing solutions and resolve production challenges.
