Job summary

MPD INTEGRATION LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II – Assembly to develop and continuously improve assembly processes for electrical distribution products. You will partner with Production, Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to boost safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency while supporting new product introductions.

You will lead improvement initiatives, mentor junior engineers, create standard work, and drive lean initiatives across the assembly floor.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
3–6 years manufacturing engineering experience in assembly/manufacturing.
Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
Strong Lean and continuous improvement knowledge.
Experience with root cause analysis and process optimization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple engineering projects independently.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes for safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
Lead manufacturing improvement projects to reduce waste and costs.
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Create and maintain work instructions, assembly procedures, and SOPs.
Design and implement assembly fixtures, tooling, and ergonomic improvements.
Support new product introductions with assembly methods and readiness.
Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability.
Perform root cause analysis and preventive actions with Quality.
