Job summary

Toray CMA is seeking an analytical support specialist to provide coordination for plant operations, improve efficiency, and analyze costs. Responsibilities include process mapping, KPI analysis, and capacity planning in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have experience with Lean methods (LSS), MS Excel, Power BI, and working in large-scale production environments. This role is based on-site in Rhode Island with opportunities to support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Power BI; experience with JMP/Minitab.
• Knowledge of LSS and engineering principles such as VSM, 5S, Kanban/Visual Management
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with ability to switch between solo and team projects
• Ability to work around large machinery and in manufacturing environments safely

Responsibilities

• Process Mapping and Production Support: Gemba, SOPs, process improvement, data collection and mapping
• KPI Analysis: Analyze manufacturing performance including efficiency, run time, yield and costs
• 5S/Kanban/Andon: Develop future state workflows to improve labor utilization and efficiency
• Continuous Improvement: Time studies, cycle time analysis, defect analysis, yield analysis
• Engineering Support: Collaborate with Production Control and senior engineers on lean implementations
• Capacity Analysis/ToC: Assist in bottleneck removal, capacity planning and budgeting
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships with departments to ensure project success
• Control and Reporting: Create dashboards and data tracking systems to improve decision making
• Capacity Planning: Support production forecasting, scheduling and manpower planning
