Job summary

Toray-Composite-Materials-America, Inc. is seeking an analytical operations specialist to support plant activities in Tacoma, WA. The role focuses on improving efficiency, yield, and cost analysis through data-driven lean methods and process optimization.

You will perform time studies, capacity analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to remove bottlenecks and enhance productivity. Strong Excel and BI skills are essential, with experience in large manufacturing environments and regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Process Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Power BI) and statistical software.
• Knowledge of LSS and engineering principles (VSM, 5S, Kanban, SOPs, Takt Time, OEE).
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work around large machinery in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Map and support processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Analyze KPIs to improve yield, downtime, throughput, and costs.
• Develop and implement 5S/Kanban/Andon workflows.
• Plan time studies, cycle times, defects, and yield analyses.
• Collaborate with Production Control and senior engineers on lean initiatives.
• Assist capacity planning, ToC, budgeting, and forecasting.
