Job summary

Columbia Tech in Westborough, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate and improve production processes, develop methods, and support design-for-manufacturability. You will work with vendors, analyze costs, and help optimize workflow and layout.

Candidates should hold a BS in Engineering, have CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred), and familiarity with ISO environments. Some travel may be required as part of collaboration with program managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 0-6 years’ experience in ISO regulated capital equipment manufacturing.
• CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and MS Office/MS Project experience.
• Basic knowledge of electro/mechanical assemblies.
• MRP/ERP systems experience a plus (Epicor E9/10).
• Basic knowledge of GT&D and inspection methods/tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes; confer with equipment vendors.
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying requirements and testing methods.
• Improve efficiency by analyzing staffing, workflow, and layout.
• Assure product and process quality with basic-to-intermediate testing.
• Provide cost estimates and assist with production planning.
• Prepare product/process reports and trends.
• Support floor personnel in assembly and troubleshooting.
• Guide manufacturing technicians and project managers.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering
