Job summary

RTX in Portsmouth, RI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Operations across fabrication and integration areas, owning manufacturing documentation and guiding production teams. You will develop MDPs, troubleshoot processes, implement corrective actions, and participate in CI initiatives using CORE principles and data-driven decisions.

Onsite role with 1st shift and DoD clearance requirement. Must have STEM degree and 2+ years in manufacturing; knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and CAD/CAM

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including instructions and routings.
• Support manufacturing areas by troubleshooting processes and incorporating engineering changes into MDPs.
• Disposition non-conforming material, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and costs using CORE principles.
• Use manufacturing systems for data management and trend analysis; travel as needed.
• Participate in occasional travel and support 1st shift starting around 7:00 am.
