Job summary

Leupold & Stevens, Beaverton, Oregon, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead process improvements, automation, and tooling development for CNC milling and assembly. This hands-on role collaborates across teams to elevate manufacturing capabilities while preserving the company’s Make in USA legacy.

You will work on new product introductions, process development, and sustaining initiatives within the Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) organization, applying Lean methods,

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with 3–5 years in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of CNC machining/programming; 5-axis milling preferred.
• Lean manufacturing, quality control, ergonomics methodologies.
• GD&T, product costing, labor standards, statistics, process analysis.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Consult on projects related to new product introductions, redesigns and process improvements (CNC milling).
• Provide technical input and support to production teams.
• Research and initiate tooling, gauges, manufacturing and assembly systems.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
• Design and develop tools and fixtures to enhance manufacturing.
• Create standard work and procedures in Manufacturing and Assembly.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contract engineers.
