Job summary

Seakeeper in Leesport, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design machine and assembly fixtures, improve layouts, and optimize tooling across production areas. You’ll develop and maintain CNC programs, contribute to DFx reviews, and support manufacturing with problem solving and MES/OEE analysis.

With 1–4 years in a technical/manufacturing setting, you’ll apply GD&T, 5S/Lean, and Six Sigma practices, collaborating with a cross-functional team to drive continuous improvement and reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-4 years of engineering experience in a technical/manufacturing environment.
• Skilled at designing machine and assembly fixtures, workholding, and tooling solutions.
• Strong GD&T knowledge.
• Experience creating and maintaining Standard Work Instructions and production Control Plans.
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, Lean manufacturing, or similar improvement frameworks.
• Strong communication, prioritization, and coordination skills, with a detail-oriented mindset focused on driving closure and accountability.
• Proficient in 3D CAD/CAM, including creating and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiar with CNC machines and controls (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design machine and assemble fixtures, as well as workholding and tooling, across multiple production areas
• Document and maintain Standard Work Instructions for production processes
• Improve factory layouts and material flow using 5S and Lean methodologies
• Create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for turning and grinding processes
• Participate in design-for-manufacturing reviews, applying engineering expertise to improve product design and manufacturability
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams, with a focus on line-down troubleshooting, process improvement, and MES system support
• Analyze MES production and warranty data to identify and drive continuous improvement actions
• Record process cycle times using MOST Analysis, and track and analyze production OEE metrics
