Job summary
Amcor is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to provide technical support that maintains safety and optimizes manufacturing operations. The role involves improving conversion costs, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to deploy robust automation solutions.
The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 3–5 years of experience in vision systems, PLCs, and related automation technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 3–5 years of vision system installation experience.
- 2–3 years working with pneumatics, conveyors, various sensors, robots, AMRs, vision inspection systems, HMIs, and PLCs.
- Prior experience with Allen Bradley or Beckhoff PLC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to maintain safety and optimize manufacturing operations and processes within the facility.
- Lead the development and execution of vision system projects for quality assurance and automated equipment.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute acceptance testing and validation activities for automation systems.
- Create documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment.
- Provide remote and on-site support to engineers and technicians.
