Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking an Electrical/Electronic-robotic technician to install, commission and troubleshoot automated industrial systems. The role focuses on PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and HMI programming to support manufacturing equipment.

You will diagnose faults, collaborate with engineers and operators, and participate in off-hours maintenance as needed. Emphasis on safety and system optimization across production lines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Two years of direct experience with automated equipment.
• Experience with networking (Ethernet, serial, data highway) and factory automation software.
• Working knowledge of PLCs (Studio 5000 and legacy RsLogix 500 Allen Bradley SLC PLCs, Siemens), FANUC Robots, Cognex Vision Systems, VFDs, & HMI programming.
• Experience with SCADA systems (Ignition preferred).
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blue prints/schematics.
• Strong communication skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and troubleshoot automated industrial electrical-electronic controls and installations.
• Provide PLC and HMI programming support for robotic applications.
• Provide electrical-electronic and mechanical support, including troubleshooting and component setup.
• Diagnose and repair faulty electronic components or logic and rebuild/assemble production equipment.
• Interact with internal customers (manufacturing, engineers, project managers) to prioritize work.
• Occasionally perform off-hours or emergency repair to minimize downtime.
• Promote safety as a core priority and optimize equipment capacity.
