Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Montague, MI is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff within a manufacturing-focused environment. This role requires accuracy in wages, deductions, and tax filings, with strong familiarity with multi-state payroll.

As part of our network, you will support year-end processes, W-2 distribution, and respond to employee inquiries while staying current on payroll regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements specific to manufacturing.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries related to payroll.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Administer and reconcile employee benefits deductions.
• Prepare and submit federal and state tax filings.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions.
