Cummins Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineering Support Specialist for our Columbus, IN facility.

The role focuses on breakdown recovery, preventive maintenance coordination, and hands-on engineering support within a manufacturing environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze failures, document root causes, and implement corrective actions while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 2–4 years relevant experience or trade certificate with six years relevant experience or eight years relevant experience.
• Department of Labor certification is acceptable.
• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge gained through specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown recovery: assist in recovering production equipment to operable state.
• Documentation / root cause analysis: collect and analyze data to describe corrective actions.
• Clear communication of corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
