Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a high-performing maintenance team responsible for reliability and safety in a busy manufacturing environment.

You will drive preventive maintenance, manage CMMS inventories, and partner with facilities, quality, and engineering to achieve uptime, quality, and delivery targets. This on-site role requires a strong manufacturing mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• College, university, or equivalent degree required.
• Experience with CMMS for spare parts and maintenance records.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance leadership and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing maintenance team and coach technicians on maintenance best practices, safety standards, troubleshooting methods, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee preventive maintenance to improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.
• Partner with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts and indirect materials inventories within CMMS to ensure critical components are available.
• Support engineering and capital improvement initiatives with maintenance expertise and reliability input.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration between maintenance, manufacturing, quality, and facilities.
