Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a high‑performing maintenance team, drive equipment reliability, and partner with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver safe, reliable operating performance.

You will manage preventive maintenance, optimize CMMS spare parts, and coach technicians on best practices, safety, and continuous improvement to achieve production targets and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• College degree required or equivalent.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams.
• Proficient in preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing maintenance team, coaching technicians on upkeep, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Drive equipment reliability and uptime by overseeing preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Improve operational efficiency, coordinate troubleshooting, and minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain spare parts inventories in CMMS and support capital improvement initiatives.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and safety culture across teams.
• Lead and develop people, ensure standardized processes and strong documentation.
