Job summary

Westlake is seeking a production associate to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for customers. The role involves extrusion or injection molding, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing to keep lines running efficiently while meeting customer expectations.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, reading production schedules, inspecting and packing WIP, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Reading production schedules is required.
• Basic math skills are necessary to perform calculations.
• Color vision is required to identify product variants and defects.
• Basic literacy to clearly complete required paperwork.
• Teamwork orientation to operate in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Read production schedule boards and perform work as assigned by shift supervisor.
• Inspect, feed, and/or pack product for work in process or finished product.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect quality defects in molded parts, trim and assemble as needed.
• Ensure proper lot information is printed on each product.
• Build/assemble boxes and attach labels to boxes.
• Notify supervisor of safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues.
• Complete production documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
• Notify management of any quality or equipment issues.
• Maintain regular attendance and scheduling flexibility.
