Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a production associate to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for customers. The role involves extrusion or injection molding processes, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing to keep lines running smoothly and efficiently.

You will follow standard work instructions, perform basic math, and visually distinguish colors while maintaining safety and accurate lot information on each product. The job emphasizes teamwork and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must perform basic math functions.
• Distinguish colors visually.
• Must be able to work eight to twelve-hour shifts.
• Basic literacy to complete required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Read Production Schedule boards and perform work as assigned by shift supervisor.
• Inspect, feed, and/or pack product for WIP or finished product.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect quality defects in molded parts, trim the molded part and assemble the molded part.
• Ensure that product has appropriate Lot Information printed on each product.
• Build/assemble boxes and attach labels to boxes.
• Notify supervisor of any safety, quality, or equipment issues.
• Complete production documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
