Job summary

Arclin, Inc. seeks an Operations Manager I for its Albany, GA facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead the Manufacturing department, ensure safe, cost-effective operation, and drive continuous improvement to hit production targets and budgets.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage KPI delivery, organize maintenance shutdowns, and develop cost savings plans while upholding safety and quality standards in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field
• 5 years of direct management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Certified in Lean Six Sigma (Lean Practitioner, Green Belt, Black Belt)
• Proven track record of 1-3 LSS projects to closure annually
• Results-driven leadership
• Strategic thinker, planner; drives continuous improvement
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, motivational and communication skills
• Firm understanding of KPIs and delivering results
• Experience in forecasting and operating budgets
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience in a chemical environment
• Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience
• High professional ethics, dependability, good judgment
• Adheres to safety and quality standards
• Walking and climbing stairs in a plant environment
• Exposure to weather elements
• On-call and after-hours emergency responsiveness

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the Manufacturing department.
• Work with functional leaders to efficiently use materials, labor and equipment to meet production targets.
• Organize and facilitate production shutdown/start-up for maintenance.
• Achieve project or departmental objectives within time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Identify and resolve safety concerns; incident reporting and resolution.
• Ensure manufacturing teams prioritize safety and quality.
• Develop and deliver Manufacturing Cost Savings plans to meet Savings Goals.
• Provide full cycle performance management for direct reports.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure plans meet outcomes.
