Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Jasper, TN is seeking an Operations Manager to provide operational leadership for one or more departments within the site. This role supervises safety, scheduling, and cost controls to deliver a profitable, high-quality product.

The position requires strong leadership, Lean know-how, and experience with budgeting and forecasting in a manufacturing environment. Expect 1–3 direct reports and 75–125 indirect reports, with Friday–Monday work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent with multiple years in manufacturing leadership.
• Strong leadership and ability to support divisional business objectives.
• Proven managerial experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to react to change in a timely and organized manner.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost control measures.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership for front line supervisor(s) daily.
• Ensure safety systems, processes, and policies are followed consistently.
• Develop strategies and goals to meet product line objectives.
• Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare and utilize Lean tools to eliminate waste and improve processes.
• Lead and mobilize associates inside and outside the value stream.
• Manage master production schedule and capacity planning.
• Communicate department and company information regularly to staff.
• Oversee 1-3 direct reports and ~75-125 indirect reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
