Job summary

Birmingham Fastener & Supply is seeking an Operations Manager to drive excellence across our Kent, WA facility. You will lead both skilled and unskilled labor, oversee shipping timeliness, and implement continuous improvement practices to improve safety, quality, growth and productivity.

You will establish clear goals, monitor KPIs, manage budgets, and lead technology-driven improvements while communicating effectively with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an operations manager.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• B.S. degree preferred; combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations to ensure accurate, on-time shipping of orders.
• Establish, communicate, support, motivate, measure, and evaluate results for all goals and objectives in operations.
• Lead the warehouse to develop and follow metrics enabling progress toward site objectives and CI culture.
• Evaluate and meet targets on operational costs, equipment/process efficiencies, and productivity.
• Proactively monitor KPIs to measure performance and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and boost efficiencies.
• Implement and oversee technology solutions to streamline operations.
• Ensure facility assets are maintained through preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage overall spending against budgets including manpower, capital, and maintenance.
• Prepare and submit timely activity and daily reports.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to EHS standards.
• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
