Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Alabama is seeking a Production Manager responsible for leading production supervisors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive continuous improvement, manage training and performance, and coordinate with safety, quality, and shipping teams to meet cost and service objectives.

This role requires implementing policies, optimizing equipment use, and participating in business excellence

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• At least one year of experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree or four years of work experience in manufacturing/distribution or operations.
• At least two years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution facility or operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to production supervisors.
• Accountable for production and shipping schedules, maintaining quality, controlling costs.
• Analyze and plan for production workforce requirements.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective and safe use of manufacturing equipment.
• Support facility safety initiatives.
• Monitor quality and productivity to meet service and cost objectives.
• Manage employee training, development, performance, and corrective action.
• Conduct regular workforce meetings to enhance BMS and Operational Excellence.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
