Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Garland facility is seeking a Production Manager to lead production supervisors and oversee schedules, quality, safety and cost objectives. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with the company’s vision across operations.

Responsibilities include workforce planning, policy implementation, equipment efficiency, and safety participation while mentoring staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams for on-time shipping and cost control.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to production supervisors
• Accountable for production and shipping schedules, maintaining quality, controlling manufacturing costs, and promoting good employee and community relationships
• Analyze and plan for production workforce requirements
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
• Ensure effective and safe use of manufacturing equipment
• Support facility safety initiatives
• Monitor quality and productivity to ensure service and cost objectives are met
• Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
• Conduct regular communication meetings with workforce to enhance BMS (Business Management System) and Operational Excellence
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
