Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior operations leader in Windsor, CT to define and refine plant policies and drive performance across manufacturing, purchasing, planning, engineering, sales and service. This role oversees budgets, quality systems, and safety while guiding a team through strategic improvements.

Applicants should have 10+ years in diversified operations, strong aerospace machining management experience, and ERP system proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of related experience in diversified operations.
• Strong aerospace machining management experience required.
• Hands-on ERP system experience required.
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing regulations, operational practices, and business finance.
• Superior leadership, managerial, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and revise operational policies to improve daily plant performance.
• Oversee manufacturing and coordinate with purchasing, planning, engineering, sales and customer service.
• Forecast, monitor, and control budgets and cost of sales to hit financial objectives, and track revenue margins.
• Maintain and support the AS9100 Quality Management System and ensure a safe, compliant environment.
• Establish metrics and standards for efficiency and drive improvements.
• Mentor mid-level manufacturing management and resolve employee relations issues.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and set department goals for staff.
• Communicate new directives to managers and staff, including full operations meetings.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and revise operational policies that improve daily performance across the plant.
• Oversee manufacturing and coordinate closely with purchasing, planning, engineering, sales, and customer service to keep workflow moving.
• Forecast, monitor, and control budgets and cost of sales to hit financial objectives, and track facility revenue margins.
• Maintain and support the AS9100 Quality Management System and ensure a safe, compliant work environment.
• Establish metrics and standards for efficiency and effectiveness, and act on the improvement opportunities they surface.
• Support and mentor mid level manufacturing management, own employee relations, and drive team issues to resolution.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations, set department goals, and assign individual goals to direct reports.
• Communicate new directives and procedures to managers and staff, including meeting with the full operations team on major changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of related experience in a diversified operations background.
• Strong aerospace machining management experience required.
• Hands on ERP system experience required.
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing regulations, operational practices, and business finance.
• Superior leadership, managerial, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
