Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace) in Riverton, CT, on-site for a permanent role. You will determine manufacturing methods, plan sequencing, fixturing, materials, and inspection methods, and define work for outside vendors.

You will also provide NC quotes and work hands-on with development projects. Use NX/CAD to sketch blueprints, set-up sheets, and fixtures; program NC toolpaths with Mastercam/Unigraphics; multi-task across development and production priorities in a

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with GD&T, technical drawings, and NC programming using Mastercam or Unigraphics.
• Broad knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities for properly routing precision components.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, and the business community.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on role in the manufacturing process of development projects alongside production
• Provide process engineering support to production, ensuring accurate and detailed manufacturing process instructions and feedback

• Input routing data into the database to calculate operation times and document detailed procedures for each manufacturing operation
• Use CAD (NX) software to sketch blueprints, operation sheets, and set-up sheets for internal and outside vendors; develop fixtures and processes

• Multi-task across concurrent development and production support priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, OR 5+ years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency with GD&T, technical drawings, and NC programming using Mastercam or Unigraphics
• Broad knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities for properly routing precision components
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, and the business community

Nice-to-Have

• Experience programming CNC VTL & milling machines, including set-up and first-part runs to release development to production; tool room experience
• Experience using PPAP to evaluate incoming jobs
