Job summary

QuEra Computing, Inc. in Boston, MA, seeks a Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing expertise to support NPI transfers to suppliers and contract manufacturers. You will bridge design and fabrication, ensuring technical specifications and production requirements are clearly communicated to vendors.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical design foundation, 3D CAD experience (Inventor preferred), strong DFM/DFA knowledge, GD&T, and hands-on interaction with machine shops and PLM processes.

Qualifications

• Foundation in mechanical design principles.
• Experience creating manufacturing documentation for outsourcing production.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation packages are accurate for transfer to suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Update designs and drawings; conduct DFM/DFA reviews; maintain customized product documentation.
• Author and maintain assembly and inspection procedures for mechanical and electro-mechanical modules.
• Change management within CAD and PLM tools (ECO/ECR/MCO).
• Maintain drawing standards and support design engineers in executing changes.
• Release documentation to external vendors and coordinate CAD file conversions.
