Job summary

QuEra Computing Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team building next-generation neutral atom quantum computers.

You will support development and production release of electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical components, and own the manufacturing release process and documentation systems. You will collaborate with design, supply chain, and contract manufacturers to ensure manufacturability and smooth product release, with a strong emphasis on NPI, documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.
5+ years in manufacturing engineering for electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical products, preferably with an OEM.
Experience with NPI and transitioning to production.
Experience transferring processes to contract manufacturers.
Experience creating and maintaining BOMs.
Experience writing assembly/work procedures and document control.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain product structures, including multi-level BOMs for electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies.
Create, document, and release manufacturing assembly procedures, work instructions, and test procedures.
Create and maintain documentation packages used by manufacturing partners and ensure suppliers have current released documentation.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through production ramp.
Contribute to design for manufacturing/assembly (DFM/DFA) reviews.
Lead or support technology transfer activities to contract manufacturing partners.
Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain and manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturability and smooth product release.
Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and documentation release processes.
Coordinate builds at external manufacturing sites.
Ensure manufacturing documentation complies with quality system requirements and configuration management practices.
