AM General in Mishawaka, Indiana is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead multiple manufacturing departments, ensuring lean processes and on-time production schedules. The role emphasizes enforcing safety rules, standard work, and efficient resource utilization across a dynamic shop floor.

The successful candidate will have a manufacturing background, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to read blueprints and process sheets.

Competenze

• College degree or high school diploma with 7+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in welding, painting, vehicle repair or assembly is a plus.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
• Ability to read process sheets, blueprints, and forecast sheets.
• Strong Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and good organizational skills.

• Supervise multiple manufacturing departments to optimize personnel utilization.
• Maintain quality workmanship and production schedules.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Identify root causes, gather data, and facilitate solutions.
• Develop new processes to promote a lean environment.
• Backup for supervisors as needed.
• Communicate with shop Union committee as needed.
• Support Supervisors in daily operations.
• Plan for future builds and line rates.
• Manage OME for assigned area.
• Support and improve AM General’s Production System (APS).
