Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees in production/operation functions related to manufacturing equipment and subsystems.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and materials requirements.
• Participates in operational meetings; tracks performance metrics; schedules milestone meetings; aims to meet or improve cycle time.
• Ensures timely response to operations issues impacting customer satisfaction; interfaces with customer/vendor requirements; analyzes cost of quality and initiates corrective action.
• Oversees safety training and compliance; ensures department training and EH&S requirements are followed.
• Develops personnel through training and career development; manages performance, coaching, hiring, rewards and discipline.
• Supports analyses for maximizing production capacity; monitors processes and reports key data.
• Identifies process/quality changes to improve manufacturing capabilities; drives Lean, Safety and Quality; implements corrective action.
